Amy J. Amundsen


Amy J. Amundsen is a partner with Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC where she has been practicing Family Law in the Memphis and Mid-South area for over 26 years.  Ms. Amundsen has an extensive background in handling highly complex cases, including cases involving extensive business and personal assets along with the delicate issues surrounding child custody matters.

She has been trained as a Collaborative Family Law Attorney for the last five years by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and other organizations.  She is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Lawyers.

A graduate of The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Ms. Amundsen has been elected by her peers to lead many legal organizations where she has implemented outreach to the community.  Ms. Amundsen is past President of the Memphis Bar Association, past President of the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Chapter, past chair of the Memphis Area Legal Services Campaign, past President of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court, past President of the Tennessee Bar Association Family Law Section, and past President of the Memphis Bar Association Family Law Section.

Ms. Amundsen was awarded the Marion Griffin-Francis Loring Award from the Association of Women Attorneys for her contributions to women and the law, and she was also named a Paul Harris Fellow from Rotary International.
